World Humanitarian Day 2019 With Children of the Poor

As an organization well known for serving children and young people,  Kids & Teens Resource Centre commemorated the World Humanitarian day, with other Sister Organizations  by Feeding The Hungry at Post Office and Sabo Community of Akure on the 19th of August 2019. This event featured as a promoter of Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG2) – “No Hunger”. 

The “Feed The Hungry” event  was a platform where over 150 children of the poor were fed. Other people in attendance included representatives of Sister Organizations – Proud Daughter Initiative, Oluwamaosi Initiative, Bee Enterprise and Tomomewo Community Development. The Mangement, Staff and Volunteers of Kids & Teens Resource Centre were also in attendance.

OPERATION FEED THE HUNGRY IN ACTION

Other activities in the cause of the food preparation, included a dialogue session. Mr  Adeyemo J.O, a worker of National Commission for Museum monument (NCMM) engaged some of the organization’s volunteers to know more about Kids & Teens Resource Centre. The CEO of the organization, Martin – Mary Falana also engaged some of the passersby to intimate them about what the organization does.

One of the side attractions during the food serving  was DJ Phree entertaining the entire vicinity with music. As the beneficiaries were fed, their faces were glowing with joy.
