The event took place at the Ago-Ireti Community. It was a testament to the power of collective goodwill and the potential for positive change.

The day commenced with a solemn opening prayer, symbolizing the unity and shared purpose of the community. Esteemed guests, including the National Coordinator Good Deeds Day Southwest, Martin Mary Falana, State Coordinator Mrs. Abidoye Irene, and Assistant State Adviser Mrs. Odedele, graced the occasion. The event also welcomed representatives from various NGOs, such as Kids & Teens Resource Centre, Gold Heart Foundation, Glorious Child of Hope, Mercy Speaks Initiative, Pace Setter, Gender Vanguard CDs, and Sojitade Foundation, underscoring the collaborative efforts towards fostering kindness and positive change.

Mrs. Abidoye Irene delivered the opening speech, tracing the origins of Good Deeds Day. She noted its global impact since its inception at Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State. Highlighting the movement’s focus on promoting kindness, positive speech, and actions, particularly among the youth. She also emphasized the far-reaching influence of Good Deeds Day, engaging over 108 countries, businesses, individuals, and communities. Its impactful initiatives has improved lives and sustained a culture of goodwill and community service.

The National Coordinator; Martin Mary Falana echoed the sentiment, laying emphasis on the essence of Good Deeds Day. Good Deeds Day engulfs acts of kindness, selfless service, the creation of a better world, nurturing a spirit of voluntarism among the youth. The event also featured heartwarming performances, including a captivating drama and lively dance. These performances ignites the spirit of kindness and community involvement.

A moment of joy was shared with the children. They delighted everyone with their dance performance reinforcing the essence of inclusivity and intergenerational participation. The event ended with a sense of togetherness, as Mrs. Bola Inyang delivered the vote of thanks. Here she fostered the spirit of unity and gratitude among the participants. A delightful menu further strengthened the bonds among attendees, exemplifying the communal warmth and shared purpose of the day.

With 100 active participants, including 48 females, 24 males, and 28 children, the Good Deeds Day 2024 in Ondo State stood as a vibrant testament to the transformative potential of kindness and community engagement.

The celebration of Good Deeds Day 2024 in Ondo State showcased the triumph of kindness, empathy, and community spirit, setting the stage for a future filled with positive change and collective goodwill.

Celebrating Christmas in the Community: The “Feed a Thousand Initiative” in Ugele

  This Christmas, the spirit of giving came alive in Ugele, Akure North, Ondo State, as we partnered with sister NGOs: IBI Foundation, John-Lucy Development Initiative, Mercy Speaks Initiatives, and Mrs. Arica to host the “Feed a Thousand Initiative.” This heartwarming event was not just about feeding the children but about creating lasting memories, fostering community spirit, and spreading the true magic of Christmas.   Kids & Teens Resource Centre recently participated in the HIV Awareness Walk to commemorate World AIDS Day 2024, organized by ODSACA (Ondo State Agency for the Control of AIDS). The event took place in Akure and was led by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. This year’s theme highlighted prevention, stigma reduction, and support for individuals living with HIV. The World AIDS Day event brought attention to the need for education, community action, and awareness to combat the HIV epidemic.
