Accel Africa Beneficiary

Teachers, Students, Community Child Labour Monitoring Committees (CCLMCs) and the Community Engagement Officers (CEOs) working on the Accelerating Action for the Elimination of Child Labour in the Cocoa Supply Chain – ACCEL Africa Project in Fagbo I & II communities in Ondo State had a market outreach yesterday to educate buyers and sellers from neighbouring communities on the dangers of child labour.

One of the ACCEL Africa beneficiaries encouraged parents to send their children to school because Child labour only increases poverty.

The ACCEL Africa Project has built the capacity of beneficiaries in communities where child labour was prevalent to become champions of the change they want.

As we did commemorate the World Day Against Child Labour tomorrow, let’s not forget to take a stand against child labour and protect children around us so they can achieve their full potential and make our country great.

World Diabetes Day serves as a global reminder of the growing impact of diabetes on millions of people worldwide. In Nigeria, diabetes continues to be a rising health concern, with many unaware of the importance of early detection, prevention, and management. Available Position: Finance Officer Experience: 3 years Location: Ondo Position Overview: The Finance Officer (FO) will be responsible for accounting, monitoring, controlling, managing, funds and budgets at the local level. Community Dialogue on Climate Action: A Step Towards Resilient Communities in Nigeria In an important initiative to combat the pressing challenges of climate change in Nigeria, Kids & Teens Resource Centre (K&TRC) hosted a pivotal Community Dialogue in Akure. This event was part of the “Empowering Civil Society to Build Stronger Communities in Nigeria” project, also recognized as the #ClimateActionForStrongerNaija initiative, proudly sponsored by the Nigeria Youth Sustainable Development Goals Initiative (NGYouthSDGs) and supported by the German Embassy in Nigeria. The Community Dialogue convened a diverse group of stakeholders. Thus, creating a platform for vital discussions aimed at developing local strategies to address climate change. Among the participants were youth groups, people with disabilities, civil society organizations, religious and traditional leaders, and key government officials, all coming together to brainstorm actionable solutions to mitigate climate-related impacts.
