K & TRC Celebrates Distinct Achievements in Her Third Quarter

The Third Quarter in Kids & Teens Resource Centre has recorded triple achievements with three personalities in her organization. This was remarkable for efforts put into human capacity development.

The first achievement was The  Change Makers Impact Award 2019 and Inauguration into the Accent Hall of Fame of The Accent Business Academy received by The Chief Executive Director of the Organization; Martin – Mary Falana on 21st of June 2019. The award was given to him by the Accent Business Academy  in appreciation of The CEO’s investment and immeasurable commitment towards the future of the young minds especially by advancing the cause of quality education for underpriviledged students.

Martin – Mary Falana being an International  Independent Consultant and Seasoned Facilitator that he is, has never stopped seeing a cause to serve humanity especially children and young people at the grassroot level.

The other achievements were bagged by The New Executive Director of the Organization; Folashade Bamigboye and Program Officer Child welfare of the Organization; Becky Olubunmi Deinde. This achievement was related to the two of them being conferred African Young Leaders Fellow 2019 and the Mini – MBA in Leadership and Management award of the Accra Business School, Ghana on the 8th of August and 26th of July respectively.

The conferral and award were given in respect to their successful participation in the Leadership training which had the presence of Outstanding African Leaders as facilitators. The two awardees have been able to achieve this because of the organization’s support in the personal development of every staff.

Celebrating Christmas in the Community: The “Feed a Thousand Initiative” in Ugele

  This Christmas, the spirit of giving came alive in Ugele, Akure North, Ondo State, as we partnered with sister NGOs: IBI Foundation, John-Lucy Development Initiative, Mercy Speaks Initiatives, and Mrs. Arica to host the “Feed a Thousand Initiative.” This heartwarming event was not just about feeding the children but about creating lasting memories, fostering community spirit, and spreading the true magic of Christmas. A Christmas Celebration of Fun and Learning The event was a perfect blend of fun, education, and celebration. The children in attendance were treated to a variety of exciting activities designed to engage, inspire, and entertain. Kids & Teens Resource Centre commemorate World AIDS Day

  Kids & Teens Resource Centre recently participated in the HIV Awareness Walk to commemorate World AIDS Day 2024, organized by ODSACA (Ondo State Agency for the Control of AIDS). The event took place in Akure and was led by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. This year’s theme highlighted prevention, stigma reduction, and support for individuals living with HIV. The World AIDS Day event brought attention to the need for education, community action, and awareness to combat the HIV epidemic. The Walk to Commemorate World AIDS Day The HIV Awareness Walk began at the Government House, Alagbaka, and concluded at the MKO Abiola Democracy Park in Akure.
