About us

Kids & Teens Resource Centre (K&TRC) is a registered non-governmental organization established in December 2002 to advance, promote and support efforts of government and all other stakeholders involved in children and young people developmental activities. K&TRC has been working among children and young people for the past 15 years and have made remarkable impacts in the lives of young people in communities we work through service provision, information sharing, capacity development, mentoring and participatory community development.

K&TRC has won several awards on most outstanding approaches of meeting the needs of young people using diverse strategies at different areas. The strategies that have worked include young people’s involvement which is critical to adolescent and youth health programming at every level, not just as beneficiaries of the implementation of the action plan but also as active participants in policy processes and programme action. Young people have exciting and growing capacities and are highly resourceful; they are competent at articulating their own needs, challenges, and desired interventions.

The Organization was registered with the Ministry of Women Affairs, Youth and Social Development of Ondo State on 9 January 2003 and with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja on the 26th day of January, 2007 with registration number CAC/IT/No. 22871. The Organization works within the legal framework of the Nigerian Constitution and in accordance with the Law of the Corporate Affairs Commission on Non-Governmental Organizations and other relevant laws and statutes.

Kids & Teens Resource Centre has a 5-Person Board of Trustees, 5-Person Youth-led Management Board of Directors, 30 full-time staff comprising highly trained Human Resource and Administrative Manager, Strategic Knowledge Management Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting Specialists, Program Managers, Finance Managers, Finance Officer, Program Officer, Monitoring & Evaluation Officers, Account Officers, Program Officers, Program Assistants, Front Door Executives, and support staff. K&TRC also employs the services of youth corps members in partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Nigeria where a large number of Nigerian graduates spend one year of voluntary work in Kids & Teens Resource Centre . Kids & Teens Resource Centre also has scores of adult and youth volunteers that assist in programme planning and implementation. Kids & Teens Resource Centre has its head office in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State and Branch Office in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, in Ilorin, the capital city of Kwara State and in Jos, the capital city of Plateau State. The organization also works in 19 other states across the country through partnership with sister organizations of shared vision and mission. (Lagos, Kaduna, Niger, CrossRiver, Enugu, Ebonyi, Edo, Kebbi, Kogi, Osun, Ogun, Oyo, Abuja-FCT, Nassarawa, Abia, Zamfara, Rivers and Adamawa).

Status of the Organization

The Organization is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-religious, non-governmental organization established to serve the public benefit.
